rbandrewsI just found out that there's a Bar Camp in Houston on June 30th. I am probably going to go. It will be good to meet programmers who aren't my coworkers. I figure anyone who turns up for Bar Camp must be at least sort of open-minded. I have no idea what I'll present about though. A one-hour introduction to Scheme? How to use Rhino to make your huge legacy Java app suck less?
At the risk of torpedoing it, I want to mention that I'm working on a new project (I inevitably lose interest in anything I mention here within a couple days). I'll post some kind of demo soon, but I want to point people at this. Finding art, free art, is insane. Anything free is low-res and looks like pixelated crap, or is free unless you want to use it for anything, or something like that. This place is a gift from God; tons of good-looking clean art, all public domain (not even Creative Commons!) and all in a decent format.
