This weekend, on a whim, and to get away from a couple minorly frustrating things in Blacksburg, I went to visit Liam and Emily in DC with Adam.
Adam and I had a fun if boring drive up, then got completely lost trying to find the restaurant. We finally found it, ate Dim Sum for the first time (everything was so good and I didn't know what anything was) and then watched Lori (a friend of Liam's and a sister of another friend of ours, Gina) hit Liam's car as he tried to not kill a pedestrian, which did not impress us with the general safety of living in DC.
Went back to Liam and Petra's house to play games. Played many good games, showed people Pac Man Vs., and unfortunately did not get to play Shadows over Camelot. Alwaysw Wednesday though.
The next day Adam, Liam and I played some video games and then met Emily to go do things. I was nervous about not getting back in time to work on a CS project, which I shouldn't have been since he apparently pushed back the due date to Wednesday (sorry everyone!). Alien Hominid for the Gamecube is a thing that both Tucker and Janna need in their lives. Especially Janna. It is Invader Zim meets Contra. It is nifty.
Emily took us to a game store which is a truly wonderful place, where they had many nifty things. I bought a game there, which I will bring Wednesday and probably regret bringing because I again won't get to play SoC. You'll find out what it is Wednesday.
We had lunch at a Japanese place. I always forget how tasty Japanese food is. I really prefer Chinese food usually since I know what more things are, and of course my true comfort zone is Mexican food, but every time I have Japanese I end up wondering why I don't eat it more often. Nathan, over lunch, said a really nice thing to me, which brightened my whole day.
We then went to see Good Night, and Good Luck, which is a whole other post into itself, maybe tomorrow afternoon. Went back to Liam's, talked about various things including Liam maybe knowing someone who wants a programmer in DC (woo? please?), and then drove home with Nathan in tow, with whom I had one of the best conversations I've had in a while. Mostly about programming, and philosophies related to.

And I return to find it's still not my turn on Super Duper Games.
