rbandrews: Mississippi Queen piece (printing)

I peeled off all the old blue tape today and applied new tape, and then printed a couple wheels. When removing the first one, I scraped off some of the tape, so no worries, I peeled off all the rest again to replace it.

Yeah, no. When you peel it off while the bed is hot, the adhesive stays on the bed. Peeling it off cold is fine though. I turned off the heater, waited about half an hour, scrubbed it down with Windex, got almost all of it off, and then replaced it with my last Kapton square. I have a couple more coming in the mail, and the first one lasted a couple months, so if I'm careful it should be fine though.

Other than that, printed a couple octopodes, one hollow and one at 20%. The 20% one turned out pretty well; one leg on the hollow one was messed up because the bed isn't level (and the octopus is big enough that it matters, unlike most things I print). So, bah. My next project is a dial gauge mount. I've got a little gauge that measures how high things are to 0.001 mm; I'll print a little clip to set it on the x-axis bars and then move it around and see where my bed is low, and by how much. There are a few screws to adjust it.
