I want to buy a board game but I can't decide. Help, friends list?

Arkham Horror maybe, or First Train to Nuremberg. Or maybe Troyes or Rune Age or Earth Reborn?

Edit: First Train to Nuremberg will be here on Friday. Trains are more fun than elder gods.

Nuremberg! The cheeses must flow! (ok, so it's actually little yellow squares of 'mail', but in the original version they were cheeses.)

You could always try picking up a copy of the new edition of Outpost. It should be available soon...

Apart from the theme, I don't think so. BGG link: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1491/outpost

I was able to play it for a second time in August, which pushed it up from a "probably buy" to a "will buy" for me. But then, I like slightly brain burny games.

(Speaking of reprints: I'm also getting the new edition of 1830 as well, but that is decidely more niche...)

Remember: talking to a purist here.

I think elder gods are about played out. The cuddly cthulus were jumped sharks and it's all over now.

See, I actually really enjoy Lovecraft (not so much Lovecraftian) and Clark Ashton Smith and those guys an awful lot. Everything else seems kinda like a cheap knock off of the originals. I have a soft and diseased part of my heart for that era of writing (I got there via Tolkien, actually) and the themed stuff just looks and feels sad in comparison.
