Pretty Good Games

So, another Spiel meeting. This one was better than most, despite the godawful room: a new guy named Mike came, and wanted to play Tigris and Attika a lot. So we did; two games of each. I won Tigris once and got trounced once, and lost Attika twice (although I came very very close the second time).
Mostly, the annoying people kept to themselves, but the upstairs room we were in is very tiny and echoey, so the extreme amount of background noise irritated me a good deal. Many things irritate me about Spiel recently though, so this is an acceptable amount of irritation. I need to play games with smaller groups of people more regularly, like maybe an invite-only game night some other evening of the week. I no longer care if this is bitter and mean, I'm sick of having to be around obnoxious people just to play games.

For as annoyed as you get, you sure keep it wrapped up pretty well in person with a cool, calm demeanor. Unless that's thinned out in the past month or so. o.O

I don't think it has with most people. Loud obnoxious people do serious harm to my calm, though; if I'm going to flip out it'll be in that kind of situation.
