Footed Migration
Sep. 4th, 2005 11:21 pmToday I went to see March of the Penguins. Decided at the last minute that I didn't really feel like going alone after all, so I went with my new roommate Robert.
Pretty nifty film. Emperor penguins have a pretty harsh life, I'm impressed that they survive. Antarctica seems to have an ecosystem composed entirely of animals; the penguins eat fish, birds and sea lions eat the penguins. The fish eat krill, and krill eat I guess droppings from everything else. Makes it pretty stupid to think that sea lions are vegetarians.
Afterward, I discovered that my phone didn't work. The part that you hear things through doesn't say anything, although the microphone still works, as well as the speakerphone if I don't mind annoying anyone around me. So I ordered a new phone. Someone, I think Janna, mentioned someone throwing my phone across the room at the party yesterday that I cuddled with Kayla through. Whoever was responsible for that parabolic interlude, thanks bunches, really. It's free to replace at least, since it's in the warranty still, but I have to find software for the cable to pull all my pictures and whatnot off it.
