I was asked to write this up
Jan. 5th, 2006 01:01 amNathan, Adam, and I decide to order pizzas while at Tucker's house.
Ross: Here Nathan, when you find the number for Domino's, you can use this phone to call them.
Nathan: How do I find the number?
Ross: I don't know, it's an API function. I pass you a phone and you return pizza.
Nathan: Oh, in that case, here, Adam: when you find the number to Domino's, you can call them with this.
Ross: Recursion! Yay!
Adam: Hey J., Ross asked Nathan to ask me to ask you where a phone book is.
Ross: That phone is a reference, don't deallocate it!
J.: Tell Ross to ask me himself.
Nathan: He can't see down the call stack. We're an API function.
Adam: Hey Nathan...
Nathan: I don't support callbacks.
Adam: I'm throwing an exception.
Nathan: Oh, that's all right then. Ross, catch the exception.
Tucker: What are you all laughing about? Have you ordered pizza yet?
J.: Too many programmers here.
