Red and blue glasses

Last week I saw a review of a book on OpenGL, so I went out and bought it. Giant four-inch-thick monster tome of a book, brand new, very expensive.
Last weekend I read the first five chapters straight through, but since I was in a place with crappy internet access I couldn't write anything since I couldn't get the libraries.
Tonight, in about half an hour of messing with it, I managed to make a Java program which displays a rotating Icehouse pyramid in an OpenGL window.
I have been able to make cool things in 2D for a while, but anything 3D has been sort of like voodoo magic as far as I was concerned. Now, finally, I get it, and I have reached the level of knowing enough to learn more easily.
