rbandrews: Mississippi Queen piece (printing)
The new firmware I put on the Makerbot lets you pause a print, change filament, and resume it. This has obvious advantages for things like my crappy red filament that's too brittle and snaps a lot on the spool, but also allows tricks like this.

They put up a christmas tree in our office last week, with lights, but no ornaments. That's my first attempt. Tina also has a slot-together snowflake, and I'm going to try to turn our logo into an ornament.

Bonus: here's how it actually printed, with external supports I snapped off.

I think my next project may be a light box to take better photos of all my other projects.
