Thirty-five sticky round labels
May. 20th, 2007 11:33 pmThirty-five sticky round labels and I'm back in business.
A bad hand day turned into a bad hand weekend, and I finally broke down and dug out my stickers and modded the Touchstream. It now has labels over all the keys that change for a Dvorak layout.
It's pretty neat how much I remember from last fall. I can't touch-type now, though I could then, but some of that can be blamed on the general difficulty of typing blind on the Touchstream. I can actually remember where the keys are better if I don't look, I just can't hit them.
If I use nothing else, total immersion, I will be typing 100 WPM blind again in a month. Since I can't use anything else, I have high hopes.
Ahhh. I had forgotten how convenient the angle brackets are in this layout. How can a man who passed away in 1975 have designed a keyboard layout expressly for writing XML?
