ScreenDuck 0.1 alpha

Once upon a time there was a little app called TinyGrab. It was incredibly useful. It did one thing: you could hit a global hotkey and it would let you drag a rectangle across your screen to take a screenshot. Then it would upload that screenshot to their servers, delete the file, and put the public URL to it on your clipboard.

It's incredibly useful for programming on a team, you can show people things over IM. It really sucked when, a little less than a week ago, it completely stopped working. See, they got hacked, and rather than fix the hole, they took the opportunity to write a whole new app and push it out in a completely nonworking state... It seriously ticked me off, so I decided to fix the problem.

That was almost exactly twenty-four hours ago. Now I give you ScreenDuck 0.1 alpha. It does almost everything TinyGrab did: you can take screenshots (same interface), it uploads them (to S3), and gives you a URL. No keyboard shortcut yet, but I'll add it later, along with making a website for it (I own screenduck.com now). I might put this on the Mac App Store, haven't decided yet.

The name is because I always thought that TinyGrab's icon, in silhouette form, looked like a duck.
